B3 Break 21: Healthy Snacking

For our B3 Break, we are going to talk about how to keep our energy up throughout the day. What I’m going to talk about is eating more often, which might sound strange but if we eat right throughout the day and keep ourselves hydrated, it helps to keep our energy up. Planning when we are going to take those breaks throughout the day to eat, drink, and keep water near us, is important so that we can be at our optimum productivity and also be present with the people we are with. The thing is, as we start dropping and getting hungrier or dehydrated, our energy drops or our mood changes, so it’s important to think about how we are going to plan that out in our day.

We have to be intentional about it, so that means that we don’t want to necessarily keep foods around that are unhealthy for us like processed, fried or sugar. That’s easy to pick up, might give us a lift for a couple of minutes but then we shoot down. What we want to do is make sure that we are keeping healthy foods around us that are protein-enriched and that are natural foods like fruits, vegetables, and so forth that we can snack on, we don’t feel bad about putting in our body, and creates that healthy energy throughout the day.

Healthy Snacking: Make sure to keep healthy foods around you that are protein enriched and natural. This way, you won’t feel bad about what you’re putting in your body and actually create that healthy energy throughout the day.

For me, and everybody is different, I know that I have to have something every two or two and a half hours to keep my energy up but I plan what I’m going to eat throughout the day, so it’s not a surprise. It's also really important that if you are not going out to the grocery store and ordering online, make sure you are planning out for the next few days what you want to eat and drink so that you are putting good stuff in your body. Hopefully, this will help with keeping your energy up during the day and make you feel better internally so that you are better externally for the people around you.
